I just found out today we lost another member of the 282AHC. James E. Meehan
(65-66 Crew Chief) passed away February 2, 2019. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to all his family.
I have received sad notice that our Brother, Alfred "Al: Beaty (67-68 Aviontics) passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family.
On March 29, 2012 President Obama proclaimed March 29th National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This day in 1975 was chosen to be observed i perpetuity because that was the day United States Military Command Vietnam was dis-established and also that day was the last U.S. troops left Vietnam. In addition, on and around this same day Hanoi released the last of its acknowledged prisoners of war. On this day March 29, 2021 I want to wish all my Brothers of the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company a great National Vietnam War Veterans Day. It was my honor to serve with many of you. All gave some and some gave all. To all the men and women who served in Vietnam, thank you for your service and WELCOME HOME.
Remember him well. Best commander I served under. Prayers on the way for him and his family and friends. RIP
It with deep sadness I am reporting to you that Major Robert "Bob" Webster passed away today, March 26. 2021. Let us all keep his family in our prayers throughout this difficult time for him. May he rest in peace.

Just received sad new that Paul Watts BC 16 passed away January 13, 2020 from cancer. Our sympathy and condolences to his family. May you rest in peace Brother.
