I have received sad news that two of our 282nd Brothers have passed on. Nicky Riviezzo, Jr. (70 Platoon Leader) passed away May 29, 2023 and Michael McDonald (70-71) gunner passed away October 9, 2023. Please keep their families in your prayers. May they now Rest in Peace

Today March 29, 2024 is National Vietnam Veterans Day. I want to thank all my Brothers of the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company for your service to our country. It was a great honor to serve with many of you and I am proud to call you my friend and Brother. All some and some gave all. Welcome Home Brothers.
I have just found out about the loss of another 282nd AHC Brother, Lester "Bill" Sibert (69 Pilot-AC) on January 7, 2024. We send all his family out heartfelt sympathy. Rest in Peace Brother. You can view Bill's service Penwell Gable in Olathe, Kansas.
I have received an update from Letta on the burial service for Jerry Staggs. It will be held March 14, 2024 at 1:00PM in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, Texas 75211 (214-467-3374)
Brothers it is with a saddened heart that I report that Jerry Staggs passed away Wednes January 31, 2024. Jerry has suffered with a few medical conditions but he is no longer suffering. Jerry was an integral part of the 282nd Black Cat Association, he served on the Board of Directors and at one time served as treasurer of the 282nd. Jerry will be missed at our reunions.
