Today March 29, 2024 is National Vietnam Veterans Day. I want to thank all my Brothers of the 282nd Assault Helicopter Company for your service to our country. It was a great honor to serve with many of you and I am proud to call you my friend and Brother. All some and some gave all. Welcome Home Brothers.
I have just found out about the loss of another 282nd AHC Brother, Lester "Bill" Sibert (69 Pilot-AC) on January 7, 2024. We send all his family out heartfelt sympathy. Rest in Peace Brother. You can view Bill's service Penwell Gable in Olathe, Kansas.

Brothers it is with a saddened heart that I report that Jerry Staggs passed away Wednes January 31, 2024. Jerry has suffered with a few medical conditions but he is no longer suffering. Jerry was an integral part of the 282nd Black Cat Association, he served on the Board of Directors and at one time served as treasurer of the 282nd. Jerry will be missed at our reunions. I dont know if anyone remembers me I worked in Operations as a radio operator from 1969 to 1970. I am trying to find some of the guys who also worked in operations at that time.I was the Operations NCO when I left in February of 1970. Give me a shout if you remember me.
